    Default ZIP-Archive for Spring.Net

    Hi,

I used Spring with Java for a view projects and now I'll take a look to Spring.Net.
But there is only a MSI-file on sourceforge download page.
Is it possible to offer a ZIP-Archive?
I'm working with FreeBSD and Linux, so I can extract MSI files, but the content is senseless... *g*

Using Spring.Net together with Mono should be possible, doesn't it?

    So long...

    Hi Gerrit

You know... that's a really good point. I feel suitably chastened

I've gone and logged a brand new JIRA issue to address this. Mark Pollack, the illustrious Spring.NET lead, is Infrastructure Guy, so I guess he will address this shortly (100% guaranteed before the next release, which is 1.0.1 which is slated for November time).

I tried building against Mono some months back... there were quite a lot of issues as I remember (none particularly critical). Feel free to create a JIRA issue for Mono development, and if it gets enough votes (attention) maybe it will be addressed. Best I can offer at the moment... Mono isn't quite on my radar yet (that's just me though). Go on, create that issue

    Hi Gerrit,

Yea, sorry about that. I guess I've been waiting for this request to come. I'll get a .zip version for 1.0.0 up on SF for you and remove the VS.NET integrated help and get mono up and running. If you can offer any advice on what would be your ideal install scenario, i.e. integrated docs with monodevelop, etc. that would be much appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Mark

    Hi Gerrit,

You can get a .zip version of the release at SourceForge now. I've put in a .zip file of the html sdk docs generated by ndoc in place of the VS.NET isdk docs. FYI - there are a few .chm file readers for unix I found while surfing that maybe useful to you.

    Cheers,
    Mark
